Ninja

Ninja are frequently featured in chambara, usually as shadowing agents for the evil forces. One movie series portrayed the ninja more realistically. The series featured Ishikawa Raizo as the main ninja spy roughly based on a semi-fictional character from Japanese history named Goemon. He would later star in the very popular series, Nemuri Kyoshiro.

Dr. Hatsumi Masaaki was also the technical director and personally directed much of the action choreography for this series. Although there were many more in this series produced between 1962 and 1969, these are the only three available for these pages.
